The Ruger 10/22 Trigger Job

Installing the Volquartsen hammer intoe the 10/22 reduced the trigger pull resistance from approximately 6-8 lbs. down to around 3 lbs. This makes it much easier to control any unintended movement from pulling the trigger while shooting, and greatly improved accuracy and repeat-ability.

The Ruger 10/22 – Crowning and Bedding

Sticking to the original purpose and use of the gun for hunting, I did not want to invest a ton of money changing the character of the rifle. I simply wanted to increase my accuracy a bit, and take small game ethically at longer distances.

I decided to do 3 things. Re crown the barrel, bed the receiver and barrel at the fore-end of the stock, change the hammer.
